Affordable Rent Act passed and effective as of July 1, 2024

The Senate passed the Affordable Rent Act (Wet betaalbare huur) on Tuesday, June 25. The law comes into effect today, July 1, 2024. This means, among other things, that landlords of residential properties must check whether they are bound to maximum rent prices when entering into new lease agreements.
