BoogieWood – Largest CLT residential building in the Netherlands

DUDOK provided legal and fiscal guidance to Haag Wonen on the ambitious BoogieWood residential project. Haag Wonen is acquiring all 293 homes in the first phase, with the aim of adding high-quality and affordable homes as soon as possible within the public housing brief.

BoogieWood will be the largest modular CLT residential building in the Netherlands. In phase 1, a wooden building of almost 28,000 m2 GFA will be constructed on top of an existing car park of around 10,000 m2 GFA. This will reduce construction time and material use. By also reducing CO2 emissions, the project contributes to the objectives of a Paris-proof built environment. The modular timber construction method ensures a short construction time, with a reduction in weight and building costs.

Haag Wonen is one of the three larger housing corporations in The Hague. Haag Wonen stands for good living in The Hague for people with modest incomes.
